Is it worth it. I know we all ask ourselves that. Wether it is when that boss of yours gets on your nerves and you ask is the money worth it. Or Wether it is when you and your spouse get in a heated debate, you ask are they worth it. When you feel the pain in your bones from working out, you ask is loosing weight worth it.
Well i got news for you, that is the most important question you have to ask when it comes to online marketing. “Is it worth it?.”
Is my prospect going to think this product is worth it.
When you write a sales letter you need to imagine you are the prospect. What are your prospects needs, what are his problems, and how can i position myself or product as that solution.
“Nobody ever bought a drill because they wanted a drill, they bought it because they wanted a whole” – Perry Marshall.
” People by Jordan’s it fascinates me. They buy a 200$ basketball sneaker, to not play basketball in. People by prada’s it boggles me, They buy 500 boat shoes and don’t sail. People buy trump apartments it astonishes me, millions for a 2 bedroom apartment, and only visit. But people buy it for that reason, because it’s expensive, because the brand means they have power, means they have wealth the brand feeds there ego.”
Those two quotes, illustrates two things, the reason people buy, and the power of brands to influence a buying decision. In order to position yourself as the solution, to the problem aka the “whole maker”, people need to believe you know how to make a whole. Once you have proven that to the right people. The value of your whole making service go’s up.
CASE STUDIES-
Bob Proctor is one of the stars of the 2006 classic “The Secret” , and from the same line of leadership as Napoleon Hill. He holds 2 conferences every year that cost 20,000 a ticket. It always sells 50-100 tickets. Every year like clockwork he collects 4,000,000 in ticket sales.
Mike Dillard is the godfather of attraction marketing online and promotes a company that sells a product that costs 19,995 dollars. But this is not anybody asking for 19,995 this is the godfather so he gets the sale consistently and is the number 2 income earner in that company.
These men have brands that sell. If i did an interview with Mike Dillard , or wrote a book with Bob Proctor, the amount of publicity i would get is astonishing.
But they built these brands because they consistently provided value to their market, in Mikes case often for free.
Micheal jordan’s shoe brand is the brand of a winner. If you were his shoes you feel like a winner. You feel like you are the best. You feel like you can take the game winning shot and win. He was paid to win, and he delivered.
To tie this all together. In order to create a brand, you need to make as many “wholes” as possible. Don’t even sell drills, just show people how to make wholes, help them make as many wholes as possible. Then when its time to release your drill branded with your stamp of approval. The drill endorsed by the best whole maker has to be the best drill in the eyes of the prospect, and if they are in need of another r whole they will drop there drill and pick up yours.

Solve a problem , with a branded solution. And your prospects will always say, “I think its worth the invesmen”t, rather than “I cant afford the expense”

I don’t know if it’s my Appalachian upbringing that says “don’t waste anything,” but I think that you are definitely right about the importance of building value.
